Welcome to the Jungle!
Welcome to our sunshiny Pre K Jungle! It's going to be an exciting year for us this year in 2023-2024! This is my fifth year in Deer Park ISD and I love it! I have taught for 12 years, 10 of them in Pre K!
Our class is special! We are a co-teach class, which means that we are an inclusion classroom that has students with and without disabilities. Our students learn beside each other as a diverse but unified community. They learn academics for kindergarten readiness as well as the social emotional qualities needed to be kind and well adjusted students. Your child will have 2 teachers- myself and Mrs. Bailey along with Mrs. Ervin, our amazing paraprofessional. Two other paras will alternate into the classroom on different days as well- Ms. Emely and Mrs. R.
I am a mom of 4 boys- Jacob, Logan, Dylan, and Daniel and wife to an incredible paramedic named Danny, who recently became EMS Assistant Chief in our home county
I earned my degree from Lamar University and also have a M.Ed in School Counseling. I am certified in EC-4, English as a second Language and Special Education. I am also currently finishing my certification as an LPC.
Kids are my business. They are my passion. I have always loved early childhood and helping our little ones succeed in being kindergarten ready. Pre K is the first step to a lifetime love of learning and that is so very important to me!
