Be Inclusive

Welcome to Miss Rodriguez's class! I am so excited for your child to join us for a brand new and fantastic school year here at the Early Childhood Center (ECC)!

My name is Christina Rodriguez.  This will be my second year as a certified teacher here at the ECC.  I started my journey to becoming an educator with DPISD in 2017, as a paraprofessional in a Structured Learning Classroom (SLC) setting.  I joined the ECC team as a co-teach Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional in 2020.  I currently hold my Special Education, Early Childhood - 6th Grade, and ESL certifications.

I served as an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher for my first official year last school year and have now transitioned into the wonderful world of Pre-K to begin my second year.

I graduated from the University of Houston - Clear Lake with my Bachelor's in Science in Fitness and Human Performance and am currently working on my Master's in Education specializing in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Special Education.

Mrs. Sara Benavides is my right hand and amazing paraprofessional in our classroom.  You can learn more about her on the link to the right.  Together, we are going to work super hard to make sure that your child grows not only academically but also in the development of their social-emotional skills.

For Communication
Our class will be using Remind and emails to communicate any and all important school and class information.  If you haven't heard of Remind, it is a messaging app that serves as a text messaging service for communication between you as the parent and me as the teacher.

Teachers and students will be engaged in activities throughout the day.  Emails and Remind messages may not be read until after dismissal or first thing in the morning when I have arrived on campus.  If there are any urgent messages please be sure to call the school office as soon as possible at (832) 668-8390.
