Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the Early Childhood Center (ECC). The motto at ECC is “Learn to Play, Play to Learn”.  Playing and learning go hand in hand at ECC! Our campus was especially designed for the youngest learners in Deer Park ISD.  This beautiful and unique setting coupled with an amazing team of educators creates an optimal environment for our children to thrive.

At ECC, we believe that investing in our children at a very early age can have tremendous impact on their overall development and lay a foundation that will carry into their adult lives.  We provide students with high-quality instruction; we deliver this high-quality instruction through evidence-based practices and provide rich experiences that aid in the development of skills that set them up for future academic success. 

I have been part of the Deepwater Community for since 2001.  I began my career here at the ECC as a parent educator for families with young children.  Through this experience, I learned about the tremendous impact of early intervention.  I also learned about the powerful benefits of having parents involved in their child’s learning.  These experiences at the start of my career fuel my passion for reaching the young.  It is my hope that by the end of the school year, you too will see the value in the high-quality work our ECC staff provide and that you will be just as proud as we are at all that our students will accomplish.
